So I have lived in this house almost 3 years now and the only time I ever had a problem with the living room circuit was when I ran the ac at the same time as another energy gobbling appliance (iron, vaccuum etc) So I obviously avioded this, and no other problems occurred. Until randomly about a month ago if I was running the ac, playstation and TV (maybe some other switches on whatever) it would shut off if the temp was over 95, so I would use the PS, maybe just the TV and this was only during the heat of the day, at night I could run everything fine (except iron and vaccuum) and then started happening at 90. Etc Etc
So I called an electrician and now have a bill for 75 and no answers because he said we were just overloading the circuit with these certain appliances he tested when he was there, iron and ac which I already knew flipped the switch... husband dealt with the call and I feel he probably didn't ask all the questions he should have.. anyway today we pushed 100 today so I had everything unplugged/turned off etc execpt the AC and it was tripping every 5 min (obviously I didn't let it go on but you get the point) Long story short over the last month this circuit seems to be able to handle less and less, and things it had no problem with the previous years.
Cooler weather starts next week so I won't be worried about not being able to use the ac (I always have the fan running otherwise) but there has to be some other explanation for this because it wasn't always so. What could be the problem? What should the electrician been looking for? What kind of fixes do I have available to me? What are my options? Please be detailed in any help given as I am numb to these kind of things and having a very very bad summer. I got 99 problems but a *female dog* isn't one... help :
