I have a 4hp13l36p-7a heat pump and a rbcs2m36c00nap-1 A/H. The installation manual on the air handler points me to the manual on condensing unit for the orifice size to use. The condensing unit manual does not have any literature regarding any installation of orifice. Manual only states "All heat pump units are only rated with TXV installed on indoor coil.

Buy the correct TXV (thermal expansion valve) for your unit. You will be glad you did since a expansion valve makes the unit more efficient.

I want to stick with the way it came from factory due to warranty purposes. The A/H came with a 71 and a 76 orifice. I could wait until teusday and call the manufacturer, but I was hoping on getting it done tomorrow. I do not want to be pumping down and vacuuming unit several times.
