Hi,
I have recently been charged with theft over 5000, a BnE(breaking and entry), and possession of property times 2. This is my first time being charged and I have plead guilty for being welcomed into the house by the owners daughter and stealing jewelry that was under 5000. I still haven't been to my first hearing yet but I want to know what are the possible consiquences?

Possible consequences are Jail time... fines AND you have to make full restiutution to the victims in each of the two cases.. You might not even get to serve both sentences concurently but one after the other.

Your Lawyer should have explained this all to you at your first meeting. And plead guilty or not you should have gotten one. They could have negotiated a lesser sentence with the DA in exchange for the plea... before you made it.

Is that under American law or Canadian? I live in Toronto and want to know the possible consequences under the Canadian jurisdiction.

That's Under American Law. Someone else would have to answer for Canadian law.

Possible and what will most likely happen is 2 things, possible about 15 years in prison.

Most likely a year or less to serve and pay it all back. You need to not confess anything and get an attorney
