I've noticed that I have the capability of sometimes knowing what someone is thinking before they speak their thoughts out loud. It doesn't happen really often, and I have no way of controlling it. Over the last several years, I've disregarded it, but lately it has been so precise that I can't really write it off as intuition or dumb luck. I've tried doing some research but I always come to the same wall - the only real cases I find are of people who are extremely empathetic and intuitive, which doesn't really fit the description of what I'm experiencing. I'm wondering if there's someone out there who can give me any real info, or a place to start looking into this?

Does it come off as a voice... or just feeling like you know what they are going to say?

Okay.. it's kind of like this. Last time it happened, my guy and I were asleep. We always wake up at the same time because when one of us starts to toss and turn, the other feels it. So when I woke up in the morning, he was waking up too. As soon as I was conscious, the first thing that popped into my head was something about black squirrels. That's all I knew, the words black squirrels was just.. there. So my guy wakes up and I'm really groggy, and the first thing that pops out of his mouth is "black squirrels" and I say, "I know. They're screwed in the winter because they're black." I finished his sentence. Weird, right?

I don't think this is something that I would have thought of on my own, it's just not a subject I think about. But my guy is an avid hunter and he knows a ton about animals, and its all he thinks about.

A while ago, something similar happened with my grandpa. He suffers advanced dementia and has a hard time making his mouth say what he's thinking.

So in short, to answer your question, no I don't hear anything like a voice. It's more like a few words pop into my head, kind of like when you read something on paper and you know the words in your head.

In my opinion its not paranormal of any sort. Most people that have been around each other develop paterns. Even you said "that is all he thinks about". So it is natural that you would also be thinking about it too. From what you said so far I don't see anything out of the norm. Even most couples that have been together for awhile can finish each others sentences.

Yeah, I'm not sold on it yet either... at least not by what you have described.

I don't know, we haven't been together that long. Only 8 months, and 4 of them he was out of state on a job site. Anyway, it happens with other people too sometimes. I was just explaining the most recent.

The brief description I gave of my scenario with my grandfather was also similar, and I hadn't seen him in fifteen years. I wasn't really asking whether it could be real, I was just looking for some leads on what to look into so that I can get an idea of what it is I'm experiencing.
