I have a Sears Craftsman garden tractor model # 944.606390, 18.5 hp Kohler eng. Dual cyl.
It cranks fine and smooth but will not start. It is well maintained and it has always started fine. This last time it started but as I went to release the choke, it stopped and would not re-start.
I've determined that the fuel is ok(the filter is fine) as the plugs are wet but there is no spark jumping acoss the electrodes when the engine is cranking.
I've disconnected the switch under the seat but still no start.
I've also let it sit for some time as it smelld flooded but still no go when I tried again.
I'm told that it could be a faulty kill switch but I cannt find it as it is not shown on the manual.
Also I'm told that it could be the Coil/Ignition Module but how do I go about testing it.
I need help. Thank you

I would focus on the kill switch, ignition switch, Ignition Control Module (ICM), and coil. Bench testing ICMs and coils is usually a waste of time; instead, simply replace them.
