View Full Version : How watts of load could be supplied by a 200amp 230v 3 phase connection

We are making a pizzhut on a building taken on rent. They are supplying 200amp 230v 3phase connection. Our load requirement is around 165kw. Is this supply enough for our restaurant to run smoothely. Please give me a clear reply explaining how to calculate these all stuff. I know that W=A*V. But for 3 phase connection how it works?? I don't know.. please help me..

I dont know.. please help me..I'm sorry, but I will not do this for you, and you should not be concerned with this yet either. It's not my job and it is not yours either.
Get a licensed competent electrician to bid this job and then he can and should do a load/service calculation for you.

You really need to be talking to your designer and a licensed "Master" electrician to get these answers.
You have give no useable information. For example, how many ovens are you planning for and what auxiliary equipment do they require? What are the lighting requirements for your restaurant both cooking and eating areas? What other equipment are you going to have? What appliances will be gas fired?
These are all relevant questions and they fail to be even close to being all the questions that need to asked and answered.
Certainaly, this site, which is a DYI residential wiring site is not equipped to do commercial planning for a restaurant.

If this is a Real Estate leasing question and you are negotiating terms and they are
Offering you 200A, 230V, 3 phase and you know that your typical load requirement is
165 kW... then no, this represents only about 40% of the power you require.
165 kW translates to approx. 600 ampere, 230V, 3 phase service.
