My boyfriend moved my special needs son and myself to live with him in his house in his state Pineville La. He promised to marry me & basically said he was someone he is not. I just found out I am pregnant. After I moved in he became verbaly, emotionaly, mentaly and physically abusive and controiling. Last night he hit my tummy and two days ago he hit my hand making me droop the coffee cup that flew into the wall then sliced my foot open. I do not have a job or money to leave. I do not know anyone out here I have never been here before. I am trapped in this house with nowhere to go. Any time I stand up to him he threttons to throw my son and myself out. Can he do this?

His house... you are both tenants.

However since exact wording is critical here. He can evict you... he can't simply throw you out. Even though both result in you no longer being there.

Eviction is a legal process... most cases he gives you 30 days to leave, if you don't he takes you to court and the Sherrifs enforce the eviction.

However, with that part clarified... living there doesn't mean you have to be physically assulted... you should look for a familly Shelter that can a Mother and her children... you sound like you would be better off there anyway, away from him.

Nobody is required to be nice to you by law. There are laws against physical abuse however.

If he has hit you call the police and get a restraining order against him. That will, at least, give you time to find some place to move to.
