Below shoulder blade I also have recently been treated for inflammation of the pancreas what is going on?? I have had x-rays ct and blood. Could it be mycotoxins?

I thought people stopped eating/smoking/cooking with psychedelic mushrooms in the 1980's - ?

Anyway, if you were honest with your Physician this is one of the things he/she would have tested for and ruled out.

How do you know you ate a real psilocybin mushroom? There are about 200 kinds. Poisonous (sometimes lethal) wild picked mushrooms can be easily mistaken for psilocybin mushrooms. As stated, you should be telling this to the doctor.

(Yes, 'shroomery' aka 'magic mushroom' growing and ingestion is alive and well in the US and elsewhere.. )

Well, I still have some tie-dyed t-shirts (I was very good at making my own) and know all the words to Let the Sunshine In so I'm good to go. Oh, I had a tamborine back in the days and I'm sure it's in the basement.

Suddenly I'm fashionable again!

I've dealt with this exact problem for about 3 years. About 7 years ago I started taking cubensis occasionally. All was well for several years but I began to develop the same pain you describe. Mid right back pain, radiating up to the shoulder with occasional severe right shoulder pain. Because of the non-eventful prior use I did not assume the mushrooms were the problem, however I did notice mushrooms would exacerbate the problem and quit taking them about 4-6 months after symptoms started.

The reason I'm here is that I took mushrooms again 2 days ago, a small dose, and the symptoms have returned. I know for a fact that the mushrooms were cubensis and also know the chance they were contaminated with something is basically nil.

I don't know the exact cause (which would explain why you and I have the symptoms and others don't), but there is no doubt in my mind that it's the cubensis itself that contributes to the appearance of your symptoms. Not a contamination and not a mis-identifyed mushroom.

If you are anything like me the symptoms could persist for several years gradually lessening. There was no magic point at which the problem was gone. For the first year there was no noticeable improvement and I felt like I might be dealing with it for the rest of my life. After that the relief was gradual. Every couple months I could tell the condition was a little better. Three years down the road and I was almost fully recovered. Then I screwed up and ate a small dose a couple days ago and find myself in pain again.

It's quite possible you will recover faster than I did so don't let my time frame get you down. I would suggest being patient though. Also suggest working out a healthy diet and getting moderate/non stressful exercise every day (walking 20 minutes). Strenuous exercise and high fat/sugar foods exacerbate the symptoms in my case.

I hope this info is helpful to you. There's a lot more I have to say on the subject, ancedotal evidence, other symptoms and such, so I hope you will reply and we can have a few exchanges. Any input by doctors or other knowledgeable people about exactly what the dysfunction might be would also be appreciated.
