I replaced my fan relay on my 10 year old rheem air handler. The blower keeps running even when I disconnect the thermostate wires from the blower. The outside condensing unit turns on and off as it should based on the inside air temperature. The blower started running continuosly when I pulled out the unit to clean it. Ever since I reinstalled its run constantly. I labeled all of the t-stat wires with letters, photographed it and put it back together exactly the way it was before. Any ideas on what to do next to have the blower turn on and off as it should based on the thermostate setting. I can also turn the thrmostate completely off and the blower still runs. There is a black wire leading into the relay, which when pulled, turns the blower off. Could it be the transformer was damaged when I cleaned the unit, would replacing it fix the problem?
