Ok so I have a 92 honda civic lx. It started over heating on me one day so I changed out the thermostate OK so that's all fine and dandy now my car is not receiving any spark. I've replaced the entire distributor the cables spark plugs main relay n ecm. I've also checked all my fuses I can not seem to get this thing running to save me life. Anyone have any ideas?

I assume the CEL comes on for 2 seconds and then goes out, when the ignition switch is turned to ON (Position II). Right?
Most aftermarket distributors for Hondas have not worked at AMHD. I only recommend genuine Honda distributor housings, where it's fine to install an aftermarket igniter and coil to keep the cost down.

I've actually thought about that I tried to rebuild my distributor but to no avail the screws were corroded one actually broke off so replacing parts for it was not an option. Is there anyway to check and see if the distributor is working properly ? Or in fact could it be my ignition switch?

No good way to check the distributor.
Does the CEL come on and go off normally?

Your ignition switch then is likely fine. Only focus on the distributor.

So I should assume the after market distributor is faulted and should order one from the honda dealership or perhaps return it an exchange it because I've only had it for three weeks now

Yes, get your money back and buy a genuine Honda distributor housing and install an aftermarket ICM and coil.

Be sure to apply silicone heat transfer compound to the back of the new ICM. Use a quality precision tip #2 Phillips Head Screwdriver; e.g. from a bit driver set.
