For about 3 or 4 days I've had sharp pains in the mid right side abdomen and it shoots sharp pains to the lower right side of my back..
What could be the problem?

Since you mention it being your right side abdomen, I would highly recommend you call your doctor at the very least to ask his/her opinion. Having it checked out at the ER would be better, but I know this isn't always a plausible option.

Pain on the right side could indicate appendicitis, which can be VERY serious. I'm hoping it's absolutely nothing beyond maybe a pulled muscle, but I'd feel a LOT better if you would get a professional opinion. My husband had his appendix removed a few years ago and even though he didn't have some of the more major symptoms, by the time they got him into surgery the appendix was about to burst.

Far better to play it safe than be sorry in this case. Call your doctor. <3
