My boyfriend is a convicted felon and he is on probation. He has been really good lately except for a slip up that happened last night.. We got into a fight and I was screaming when the neighbors in our apartment building called the cops.. Alcohol was a factor for both of us.. Besides that he is a full time student and is almost ready to graduate college, he just got a job and pretty much made a poor decision last night. The police charged him with domestic violence, resisting arrest and something else but I couldn't understand the man on the phone.. I'm 19 and we live together.. I just want to know what's going to happen in court or if he will be going back to jail? Please I don't want to see all his hard work go to waste...

I don't think he's the only one that has made poor decisions... and that one was far from being the only one.

I for example have managed to make it 50 years without being arrested... even once.

THis WILL violate his probation and he will likely go back to jail to serve the rest of that time, PLUS he will have an upcoming trial for THIS crime and do additional time for tha assuming he loses that case.

Hello C:

What you DIDN'T say, is that he HIT you... He wouldn't have been arrested if he didn't... He's going to hit you again.

If he bails out now, it will be cause the PO did not hear about it yet, and he will be picked back up and detained as soon as they do.

What was the felony he was on probation for ? Is it related to violence or drinking ?

But he will be violated.
1. drinking
2. domestic violence
3. resisting arrest.

I would say good chance he would do at least a 30 day to 60 day time.

Also he may be ordrered not to move back in or live with you either. So the PO may stop the two of you from being back together.
