I am in my first trimester of pregnancy. I was told by my doctor I have a yeast infection and was prescribed Monostat 7. Is it safe to use and what damage will do to the baby.

It is safe to you and won't harm the pregnancy or the baby.

I had numerous yeast infections while pregnant, It will NOT harm the baby, and please take as prescribed because if not fully treated it could lead to Strep B (I was positive with my second son when I went into labor due to so many yeast infections) and if you notice ANY symptoms returning, call your dr asap to get more meds.

Yeast infections do not lead to strep B.

I was told that by my Gyno, sorry if I was mistaken, just repeating what my Gyno told me (And yes, I agree my Gyno is a butthead) =)

Yeast is a fungus where strep b is a bacteria. That's like comparing puppies to kittens.

I am a very nervous pregnant mommie. It's been 16 years since I was pregnant. I started the monostat 7 last night and this morning had light bleeding when urinated and wiped. Does anyone know if that is normal. I don't want to harm my unborn child (or worse have a miscarriage) and am nervous about the spotting. It only occurs when I wipe too.
