I am planning to replace a 17-year-old furnace that needs a $500 repair. I've had two estimates so far, about $800 dollars apart. I'm wondering whether the comparisons are for similar furnaces, or if the more expensive one is somehow much better. I live in the mid-South, so winters are not extremely severe, and both companies seem to have very good reputations, have been in business a long time. Do I want a Rheem Classic 90 RGRA-09EZAJS for $3073 installed, or Lennox Elite Series G51 36C-090 for $3922? Many thanks.

Seems your bbb or your neighbors would be better to ask about this..

No 2 companies will give the same quote.
