Do we need another American Revolution, why or why not?
What is your opinion?

Personally, I think we need a social revolution, a twenty-first century cultural, musical, and wonderfully artsy Renaissance... then again, America needs many things... free healthcare, more funding for public schools, a better form of government (you are free to interpret that in any way you like)... etc. etc. ad nauseum.

Good question. Yes, it's about time. There has been mistake after mistake in the leadership and Iraq, just to name two.

But... for a positive about our president, he is pro-life and pro-war. No hypocrite there.

And, for love and peace, they can coexist if persons use the power of the dollar (or lack of it in funding the Iraq and subsequent Afghanistan fiasco) in Congress to send a clear message that this war is a mistake. Want change? Bring more power to the farmers in these countries and redesign a way of living through alternative crops - not poppys. Recognize their beliefs/religion is theirs alone to bring meaning. And that we could assist through teaching how to create a new judicial system where persons feel they can go to their authorities and get consistent and fair hearing.

Yes, it is time for revolution. Write congressman, as well as your local representatives, to give a voice of concern for this great society.

Are you asking if we need a new constitution? Then no. America has it's problems. We will never be a perfect contry. May be if everyone would be an informed voter, then we would be better off. A revolution? Going a bit too far I think.

Of course we do. It's been needed for some time now. Maybe not a new constitution but we need some form of government (or a government authority) who will follow our constitution and not interpret it in a way that only benefits themselves and not the people... The People are the ones who are supposed to be the power anyhow and it would seem that we've had no say in our government for sometime now.

We need another American Revolution and we are going to have one; beginning sooner than you might expect. It is nothing at all to do with the War in Iraq. That is nothing. It is about our freedoms that we are losing every, every, everyday. We have so many laws and we never really enforce the ones that make any sense at all. We need those 50 Caliber Machine Guns (HMGs) that the U. S. Department of Defense is about to turn over to us. Believe me, the USDoD is very much upset, also, with what is going on in this hell-hole of a worthless, sorry country. Remember those 26-High-Ranking Officials (both military and civilian) that took early retirement back during the Clinton Fiasco? Well, they are all still very much alive.. . Alive and well, may I add? This time the Defense Department will be on our side and for sure; it is NOT going to be any kind of "Boston Tea Party!" We are going to experience the loss of several thousands of Americans right here on our home turf. Perhaps hundreds of thousands over a 5-to-6-year period. I will probably be one of those who will go early. I will be out there in the front; so to speak.. . Like Colonel Travis.. . No doubt. Anyway, I am ready! Let's get it on! Let's preserve our future generations NOW!! :)

Yes, The Government has become far too large and intrusive. They violate the constitution on almost a daily basis passing laws the constitution has not given them the power to make.

"The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite. The former will be exercised principally on external objects, as war, peace, negotiation and foreign commerce."

James Madison, Federalist No. 45

That actually the exact opposite of what people are saying - we need to enforce the constitution and take back the freedoms the constitution provides for us

Allow for me to clarify that in this message which I posted, there is absolutely ZERO intent for such motive to include the act of violence. I am against ALL forms of violence and believe that Free-will, Privacy and our Freedoms can be re-secured, re-enabled and then carefully maintained without the use of violence. In fact, I don't just believe this, I know this.

Peace.

Well this is my opinion. America is no longer the land of the free. We are rapidly turing into a dictatorship. Our current government no longer care about its citizens only big busnisses. So.. what I think should happen is.. we the citizens should unite, overthrow the government and all its parts and counter parts.. and implement a new government. Also.. we need to do away with our current constitution and go back to the uncorrupted original.
America has become the laughing stock of the world with its lands for sale to the highest buidder ( china and japan mainly) I am ashamed to call myself an american citizen and I spit at the current government and america as it is today. Right now the way this country is.. we deserve what ever happens to it.. we the people are to blame. We the people have become cowards and allowed this jake of a government to have too much power over us and our lives. We need to start and fulfill a national citizen revolution and do it soon... timing is running out before the government really bends us over

All too true we have needed this for some time, Everything the founding fathers warned about has come to pass.. by their definition we are slaves.
First and foremost I agree we need to go back the original constitution. But its not as simple as that... there are things that fundamentally make this country the prefect environment for the growth of Degenerate parasites, we need to throw out the freedom ifringing legislation, along with the IRS, and take back the federal reserve. Taxes were never meant to be charged on our wages, Its illegal, we are not GAINING anything.. we TRADE labor, time and skills for money.. this is not a capital gain, and should not be subject to income taxes, but maybe sales taxe, taxes were meant to be charged on the sale of goods, and on profit from buying and selling. We are not making a profit when we work we are trading one thing for another so unless you are making twice the industry standard at your job taxing your labor is SLAVERY. The laws and definitions of the U.S. before they were changed by puppet politician on the strings of big business, explicitly state this. Also Any wage tax that takes anything more than 30% is historically recognized Peonage ( a form of slavery) basically like a medieval surf.

Legislation is a joke People are charged and punished for crimes everyday that the corporate elite and leaders in government are practically immuned to. The core problem in this country is the system of allowing politicians to take bribes, Letting them lie and deceive with impunity and worst of all putting the interests of contributors before the interests of the people... this to me makes them Enemies of the people of the U.S.
The acceptance of complete and total deception on our part , such as being a "good speaker" how many times have I heard this, and watch some guy who is a master at lies and deception, win over people and elections based on how well the can deceive, and through underhanded manipulation. Lobbying, Campaign contribution, allowing elections to be funded through personal wealth and (bribes) donations. All of this should be made illegal, and punished with extreme prujudice. Anytime a politician speaks publicly his words should be treated as if he was unter oath imo. There is FARtoo much freedom in political offices.
This country was founded on the ability to self govern... that is non existent. Also I believe that misinformation is a crime against the people, misleading people one way or another through propaganda, or control over the media, is blatant Fraud. How sad and pathetic we are to have literally accepted all of these blatantly hypocritical practices and consider them normal operations of legit govt... Its our own fault, as well as OUR responsibility to fix it...
Social mind manipulation through TV, MUSIC, films has done an excellent job at telling people what to think and how to feel.
Although in the peoples defense it is tough when your CONSTANTLY being sheltered mislead brainwashed and deceived everywhere you look. I know that for myself it takes a lot of passion to resist these forces, but it is our duty to seek out the truth and Fight against the injustices that have been LEGALIZED in this the once great America... now a Semi fascist totalitarian oppressive. If you keep supporting it with your taxes and loyalty then you are just as guilty as the criminal politicians. You owe it to each soldier who's blood sweat and tears paid for those freedoms you owe it to us to yourself and to future generations.

I think that we the people should fire all the senators and congressman and hold a lottery system with names of colledge professors and tell them they have no choice but to searve in these possitions(drafted) until a new ellection could be done with campaign reform in place. We need to implant a law that states that taking money from speical interest groups is conciderd treeson and punishable by death. I believe in capitalism I just think that the corruption is too embeded we just need a good house cleaning.

"When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty." -Thomas Jefferson.

It is no longer "For the people, By the people.." It is now "For the government, For the corporations..." How can we claim to be the land of the free when our very "freedom" is being traded away in laws that protect the ones who wish to do us harm?

The government we have stopped caring about "THE PEOPLE" and are self serving hypocrites... They want to take our right to bear arms and many other rights... I say they deserve a revolution against them, an American uprising, to remind them that we are THE PEOPLE, we put them in office, we can take them out... Walk on our rights and you will find yourself at the end of a good old American war on your hands..

What is your opinion?Hello h:

Yeah, we do. It would be AGAINST the people who've taken my rights, and the ones who would take up arms against me.

I lost my Fourth, Fifth, Eighth and Fourteenth Amendment rights under the fascist George W. Bush. Where were the tea baggers then?? Now they complain about losing their Second Amendment rights, when all Obama has done in terms of gun rights, is to STRENGTHEN them.

But, it's cool if you want to believe the tea party crap, cause if you come after me, be ready for a battle. I believe in the Second Amendment too.

I see all around me empty homes, abandoned houses (upstate NY) & I see homeless people, not necessarily bums. Just pple who are going through the worst times. Can we fill these empty homes w/ the homeless? No, because individual greed can't put 1 & 1 together. I see around me people, way too many people. Our population is growing out of control around the world. Like a locust swarm, once there are too many of us & all we do is see, breath & eat eachothers ****, is when we'll swarm. Something needs to trigger a revolution. A depression won't do it. I've been living in a depression for 20 years already. I work hard & have nothing much to show for it. What about redistribution of wealth? How are some people getting paid triple digit salaries doing less work than a person getting paid 10k a year? I'd rather pick up a rifle & fight & die for your future, for my daughters future, than pick up a shovel & dig my way to death for 10k a year. I have a dept of 12k atm & for me it's impossible to pay. & each month it gets deeps & deeper. Eventually it'll get to 100,00k & I'll be long dead. Credit Score? Pfff give it a rest. I actually hope that the foreign investors withdraw all money from our hemisphere & let us go into a truly deep & devastating economic collapse. I want to see the millioniair, billionair live the life I live.

Yes, I think our government should be overthrown and replaced with a direct democracy instead of the current representative democracy. In a direct democracy the people, not the political leaders, vote on laws and bills. This country was founded 300 years ago when there was no internet. At the time it was practical for people to have representatives who would represent them, go to Washington, and vote on laws. But now with instant communication there is no need for that. A direct democracy is the best way for the people to get what they want instead of having people who don't truly represent them making all of the decisions. Replacing the current government is difficult though because the people with the power to do so would have to vote themselves out of power. This is very unlikely to happen.

The only thing I'm sure of is that America needs change. Our whole slate needs to be wiped clean. Our government has turned into socialism and communism, and our constitution is no longer being followed.
The human kind is destroying the world. We need to stop building things NOW. Cars, houses, factories, everything. Only change can come from the barrel of a gun and the point on a pen. We must open the eyes of the blinded to show them the truth of this world. Not just America needs a revolution, the entire human race needs one.

We need to focus on what really matters:

Every day in America, a child is sexually abused by a family member- this is so ****ing disgusting. How and why did we ever let this start happening? Evil people must die. Doing this to a child will ruin their whole life. Child molesters, rapists, and sex offenders should all be killed. And no, I've never been sexually abused myself.

Who gives a **** about what people think of you on Facebook, shouldn't you be spending your time on something that will have a progress to it? Like growing your own fruits and vegetables. If we all did this, there'd be a lot less semi-trucks driving around, delivering stock to groceries stores, meaning; there'd be a lot less pollution. And who gives a **** about expensive cars, or money for that matter. You ****ing greedy *** bastards who just want more and more things, more and more toys, more and more video games, you're all idiots. You only need what you can use.

We've been digging a hole since we settled here, it all started when we killed the indians. We'd be so much better off if we lived like them. Instead we waste land, destroy nature and fill our heads with ideas of nonsense. The idea of money is nonsense, it was invented by greed.

We make ourselves weak by carrying the weak around with us. Those that aren't healthy enough to live should just die. Those who refuse to work and live off the work of others should be dead. If they can't work because of a physical handicap and a family member dedicates their life to take care of them, then that's fine, but people who don't do **** to help human kind do not deserve to be part of it. I despise those who live off the government because of some pathetic pension. Taxes are dumb to me. The fact that there are people who work and are forced to give away their money to keep some elderly person alive who shouldn't be alive is just ridiculous. I'm not saying, pull the plug on everyone who gets sick or gets cancer, I'm saying those who do get sick should be able to take care of it themselves. It's their responsibility. If they want help, they should have helped somebody earlier in their life when they were healthy so that that person would want and be willing to help them. It works in a circle.

The problem with America is that nobody realizes what's really going on, and the few that do don't try and tell the others who are sucked in by media and the lies of the world because they are afraid to be seen as crazy. Either you're ignorant to it all, you ignore it all or you fear it all. Well, I don't care if people think I'm crazy, here's the truth:

They have found a cure to cancer, they won't release it because 86% of the people in debt to hospitals are in debt because of their cancer. The medical system makes too much money to release the cure. Stop talking on your cell phones so much, they emit radiation and it will cause cancer. A raw diet as been proven to cure cancer. The`natural foods the come from the ground on this earth were designed for us to eat, so stop eating processed foods, fast food, canned food and all that. Fresh food is the cure. Know where your food comes from. Everyone is way too ****ing lazy these days. That's our downfall.

If you wish to contact me, my email is [email protected], I am human and I am here to help other humans and lead the world to peace and harmony.

Do we need a revolution? Yes! For too long this government has abused its power. For too long politicians have forgotten about their duty to the American people. For too long the rich and the powerful have turned us against one another. It is time for real change, not for lengthy debates in richly halls while every day more Americans are losing their jobs and homes.

How much longer will the American people be party to this great farce? These political parties are not loyal to us, no, they are mere actors on a stage.. and the American people.. they are but a willing audience. We must all rise up and cast down this bloated and sickly creature we call the United States Government. We must retake control, and steer this country back on course and in doing so guide us towards not just economic prosperity, but towards a future of strength.

Under new, stronger leadership this country can once again be entirely self-sufficient. Once again, we will be manufacturing our own goods, instead of importing goods soaked in the sweat and blood of the poor and the ignorant. Under new leadership we will once again possess the mightiest war machine, and with it we will ensure security across our borders.

I believe a revolution has already begun: economic banking crisis, loss of entire job sectors, budget crisis at the state and local levels, and now a crisis in Europe that is unprecedented. We live in a fantasy world that is based on the idea that "growth" is infinite but history has defined us without prejudice. We live in a global culture where we do not have the resources to support the planet and we are already seeing the results of that. That is what destroyed the Roman Empire, the Mayan culture, and all great civilizations - their inability to find the resources to support their needs. I believe our dependence on fossil fuels, the thing that has created the world in which we live will ultimately be the thing that will destroy us; it is a finite resource and there is nothing to replace it. All the other sources of energy combined -solar, wind or nuclear energy will not be able to replace what oil enables us to do. Our world will change and the U.S. will feel the most pain because we have created a culture which uses the most energy.
True revolutionaries are willing to give up their lives because the world they inhabit is so terrible that they are willing to sacrifice themselves for change. One only need to look back at all revolutions including the latest revolution in Egypt - people managed to change their govt through social networking but people were still killed. I believe eventually this country will revolt against the system we have come to know as the industrial complex. I believe revolution is inevitable as we are at the tip of a very long iceberg. And so my answer to this question "Should American have another revolution?" should really be "When will the citizens of the U.S. start the revolution" because in essence all the dominos are lined up and beginning to fall.

The short answer is yes. The very nature of this country has changed over the years to resemble something more like a dictatorship. Revolutionary speech is now considered to be anti-American or anti government which is a dangerous precedent. America was started by a revolution and the founding fathers knew and wrote about the difficulties in keeping a republic. Remember that America belongs to the people not to the government! It is no secret that modern day politicians are corrupt elitist that believe they know what's best for you. Don't be fooled into thinking that the answer to the united states problems lies in the governments hands, we have the power! I think the biggest struggle would be asking people to leave their McMansions, their reality T.V. and their celebrity gossip to join a revolution in the first place. There are two possible outcomes of a revolution at this point One, the people rise against a tyrannical government and they heed our wishes, which I believe would lead to a renaissance period in which culture is revived during a period of austerity where art, innovation and business growth occur free from government red tape and regulation. The second scenario is a bit scarier in which the government would fight back against the people which could bring on violence and martial law. This second scenario would be a nightmare, essentially destroying the fabric of security and leave our country vulnerable to attack and disenfranchisement. In either scenario, the government would be forced to show it's hand which is the point of a revolution. I hope we have a peaceful transition from our current state back to a constitutional and more liberated union however, if the need arises I would hope that the good people of this nation would fight tooth and nail to preserve their freedom from government oppression. I know I would be in front fighting for my fellow man no matter what that means. Unite and take back the liberties we have fought for so proudly and lets take back our right to live as free people!

I've lived in the US all my life.. and things have only
I'm sick of police brutality increasing.
Racism increasing.
Jobs decreasing.
Tax increasing to fund wars that I really don't give a **** about nor agree with.
Example: 9-11 sooo some easterns bombed the twin towers.. I honestly think it was our
Own government, but I can't prove that, so let's just say eastern people did.. It
Was just a group of them who for some reason wanted to, not the whole ****ing country
America had no right to invade Iraq. That made us look like complete *******s.

They took away my healthcare and now I'm in dept in hospital fees to stay alive..
What the ****! You can't put a price on the ILL.

I watched my grandparents literally work their bones apart and eventually they got to retire,
They worked their entire lives and it's like they really had nothing to show for it.

I believe min. wage should increase big time, you need to think life is short and some people use their time to serve people out a window, just because it doesn't require education doesn't mean your not
Spending the time of your life to serve people, I just don't understand a the difference between
A lawyer and a bust boy, either way your using your life time.

The government lies, and hides **** from everybody and we deserve to know every bit of it.
There is stuff they know we don't that would blow our minds...

And as I was currently reading other posts and writing this, I've seen 4 cops drive by my house in
15 minutes.. I have no privacy in my life anymore..

I could rant about how ****ed up this place is for days straight..
But obviously we can't talk things over with the government,
All word is a whole bunch of verb
So step up
Get the **** off WoW and modern warfare 3
Stop going to clubs and getting drunk partying your life away
Get your eyes off the TV watching your old western movies and "reality" shows.
Your being enslaved, and mind ****ed
Step up you *****
And lock and load!
Be concerned with the future for once.

Yes. Period. Our founding fathers are rolling in their graves right now and have been since just after the civil war. If you know the causes of the original revolution, they are EXTREMELY minor compared to the latest infringements hurled on us by the incorporated us "govt". As someone watching this for awhile, the talk of revolution has increased 100 fold in the past 3 years and people are finally starting to get some fortitude to fight back. Bring it on.

what we need is a global mental revolution, one where we can think for ourselves and not be told whether or not we can be gay, high, religious or not, and how we can believe in god. We need a world where we do what we do because we want to help each other. We need a world where we spend time helping not killing ideas and lives. Think about it, in a world where people with ideas of peace and love are killed, such as Dr. Martin luther king, Malcolm x, john lennon, JFK, Gandhi, Tupac, and countless others, what kind of world are we living in? The goal of this world is to own and control the most, only if that is what you aspire to do (becoming the next conquerer) are you successful. Money is the fuel of this world. Peace, love and friendship is the fuel of equality. One world, one way, equality.

It is horribly frustrating to see the weakening of our country. However, it is the greed of mankind and the unending cycles through which this greed manifests itself. The concentration of wealth and power is the dominant influence on our elected officials. This unfair concentration of wealth (it is nothing but simple favoritism and selfishness) continues to gain momentum. It only stops when so many people are so bad off they have nothing to lose.
You will see the first real signs (just as in Vietnam) when people strap explosives to themselves and wait for opportunities to do horrible things.
How short are the memories? Jesus Christ rebelled against the obvious wealth and favoritism of the Romans and the high priests of the Jews. And from there it has continued to cycle and cycle and cycle. Even God has been unwilling to stop it.
The only real way to solve this continuing abomination of political favoritism is for mankind as a whole to become fair and empathetic every single day all day long. We are a long way from that time and place.
There actually are enough explosives to accomplish this, however it means the end.

When a government is suppose to represent it's citizens and no longer does so, when instead it makes it's decisions based on which lobbiest gives them the most dollars, when good ideas are no longer good if your party didn't think of it. Yes you bet your *** we need a revolution. It need not be an armed over throw. All we have to do stop paying taxes. It wouldn't take very long for them to get the picture. They can't lock us all up. But I am afraid that as long as all we do is write and talk about it nothing will change. They will continue to line there pockets with lobbiest gold indifferent to the countries needs. What the people need is a real leader in the White House. A leader who forgets about party lines, and lobbiest money. But don't think you will ever get a chance to vote for someone like that because neither party would ever put that person on the ballot. And if a person was ready to truly represent the citizens of this country alas he be shot dead.

I Agree. There will be another "Shot Heard Round The World" at one of these protests maybe?

I say a revolution is in need. I've been preaching this for months. Our government has ruined this country. We were once great and righteous. They say we're a free country. Do you really believe that?? Look at us now! Look at what we've become! WE NEED TO STOP ASKING AND START A ****ING REVOLUTION!! WE ALL KNOW IT'S NEEDED! SO GET UP AND FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHTS AND FREEDOM!!

HA! Everybody here says "Oh yes, we need one!!" But do any of you have the guts to start it? Think real hard... no didn't think so... BUt me, I've already made a plan, I'm going to join the miarines, learn an immense amount of skills, leave after my tour, then start it... starting with protests then forming a secret organization getting guns and weapons... then, we declare that we throw our current government out of commission. If they refuse, sadly, we would declare that the only other option is war... a revolution at last. And I will gladly die first if that's what it takes. Now, I'm sure you're thinking, what if you die in the Marines? Well, I will have already created a group before I join of around 100 people who also join... one of us has to live, and they will carry out my plan... so just wait... America WILL have its revolution...

To be honest we do need one, very much so but people are Blind, afraid and just plain stupid. The government makes laws that in no way helps us, they push the constitution right out the door and we just have to accept it? No its we the people not we the government and the fact is we make this country not them, don't be afraid to speak your mind.

Hell to be honest if people weren't afraid and I could convince them to believe in their own abilities and strengths, I would lead the revolution lol, but fact is the people have grown a custom to the government providing their every need, so the ones who are rebelling I give you respect and one day hope to join you.

Dear sir,
Let me share with you a sad story of what happened to me.
I was arrested and put in jail for something that wasn't even a crime. I was found guilty of the crime because the evidence I had the judge would not look at therefore it couldn't be aditted as evidence. I spent over 3 years of ten prison term locked up over this. I am still fighting this case today. They (the government took my rights and labeled me as a second class citizen. My parole officer says I am the most boring parolee she has ever seen. She is confused as to why I was arrested . Of course she read the evidence I had .

Because of this I realize now how crooked and corrupt the government is. It is all about generating revenue. Not about justice.

Well, I decided to declare my sovereignty. Now the government says I am a terrorist.

In a way from their stand point I guess I am . I don't believe in any laws that violate the constitution. That little document says they are null and void. So, to a bunch of crooked lying thieving
Wannabe slave owners and one world ruling government theorists and anyone else who believes that this country has the right to enslave the people of this nation I guess a guy like me armed with a constitution would be a terrorist.

I patrick sneed do pledge allegiance to the flag of the united states of america . And to the republic (not the democracy) for which it once stood one nation under the supreme being
Indivisible with liberty and justice for all.
Now, when our corrupt government decides to do what is right and go back to this then they too will not think I am a terrorist.

If you believe in god and state so in this country the fbi may consider you a terrorist. If you think the government is wrong then you are a terrorist. First these terrorists were people over seas now the government has stated if you believe in sovereignty of the people then you are a danger to society.
Wow our forefather's were terrorists according to the government.
So I am with you , I want off the grid and away from big brother . All those in favor write your government and let them know you charge them with crimes against the constitution. Let them know they are going to answer for the corruption they created . And then follow through with it.
