Please can you give any advice as unsure what to do? My niece met a Turkish person 5 months ago and agreed to marry him in July 2012, in a Muslim place in oxford, with just a couple of witnesses,he said to her that they will have a large wedding another day. I understand he does not have a visa, and now he is married is begging her to sort it out for him.. I feel that this is all he is after citzenship. He is reliant on her for money, house etc. She thought he loved her, but after getting married told her he loves someone else more. He has now planted recorders in the house, recording all conversations, restricting her from seeing friends or speaking to family. I am so worried for her and her 2 children ( not his ). I do not know if there is any violence. Is there anything that can be done as I feel she is much a prisioner in her home now and wants out of the marriage.
Any help would be very useful thank you.

Someone must contact the police and alert immigration, and she has to get out of the house with the two children. I would have to say from your description that he is keeping her captive and that cannot be allowed to continue.
Are you in the UK? Immigration will not take kindly to his antics and from that he will never get residency.

And if she and the children are in immediate danger the Police have to be called. Could you go to her residence and get her out so he doesn't hurt and then contact the Police and Immigration?
