I am on probation in Missouri and want to move to Utah I have a daughter who was born there and a son my fiancé also lives there However I have one year left of my probation I have been trying to get a transfer for over a year I thought my current po had put in a transfer however when I called her 2 weeks ago I was told she quit and I have a new one I was given his number and have called him at least once a day with no response I want to just move to Utah in 3 weeks to be with my family I have already been away from them for a year I want to know the consequences if I get caught Will I have to do jail time?

Proper transfer can take about 4 weeks, sometimes a little longer. Sometimes faster.

I have seen it take up to 3 months but that is normally when they are doing it on purpose .

Next of course if you get caught moving out of state, they will put you in jail ( perhaps prison) and you could serve the entire sentence you received in jail
