I know someone who was sentenced to 3 yrs and the judge suspended the sentence with 3 yr probation on a felony 5 charge for a controlled substance. Now charges have been filed in the county for violation of probation. Will they seek them out and arrest them now that the warrant is in order and if so, what will happen next?

Just pick him up at the next time he reports for meeting with PO. If he does not appear, that is another violation and better chance of more jail time on violation.

I do not expect them to report for meeting with PO. Thanks anyway

If they don't they will almost for sure get jail. The issue is, often they are held a week or two, then put back on probation, if they just turn themselves in.

If they "run" refuse to go in, their probation date stops on the day they are violated. And additional violations just keep gettting added on. So they are just sending theirself to prison by not going in.
