Dear Members,
I just purchased a replacement for the Korky 528 swimming pool water leveler I had in my swimming pool for the last 15 years. The adjustment for this product is a bit of a mystery in that I was told by Shasta, the pool company that built the pool, that it adjusts the water level by pushing down and then turning it clockwise/counter clockwise. The replacement, I was told by the now Leslie store, (they bought out Shasta's retail stores), adjusts by holding the tubular portion of the device and then grasping the box-like section and pulling it away from tube portion and this un-locks it so it can then be turned clockwise/counter clockwise to raise or lower water level. I tried this without installing it in my pool and never heard or felt any click that I was told I would hear as it unlocks for adjustment. I am able to grasp the coupling and short nipple that Shasta used to achieve the correct height of the leveler, and turn the leveler in each direction. The full rotation is less than 90 degrees and very different from the old one. My question is... is this the correct way this leveler works to adjust the water level? The fellow at the store also said I would be able to lock the device back into place after the adjustment and this does not lock.

Appreciate anyone who can help me with this! Thanks!
(hope I didn't over describe and confuse anyone)[/B]
