I have decided to apply for jobs outside of the state I live in (MO). I have primary custody of two girls 13 and 10. The father is Active Duty in VA. After he moved of out VA (where we divorced) I moved jurisdiction to MO. He had attempted to take full custody twice before, once when I was mobilized to MO, and then when I took a permanent job in MO. He lost both times. He also spend a considerable amount of time trying to document me as mentally ill and unstable.

I have notified the father that I intend to move. The original settlement states each of us are free to move for social and professional reasons. If I move in the short term, what legal issues should I anticipate and what actions should I take in the new state?

I need to know EXACTLY what you are asking - he's been notified and you can prove it, right?

Until you establish residence in the "new" State the present State has jurisdiction.

How did you "move" jurisdiction to another state from the original one? Somehow that doesn't sound right.
