Sounds like you're starting your period.

There's no way for me, or anyone else to know. If you're not pregnant and this is your period, it could start right away, tomorrow, or it could just be spotting this month.
Of course there's still a possibility that you're pregnant and it was just too early to test, or you took the test incorrectly.
Either way, we can't tell you what's going on. Not even a doctor can give you a diagnosis online, and the only way to determine pregnancy is with a pregnancy test. Sadly, they're not always reliable, and false negatives are very common.
Wait another week, see what happens. If all you have is spotting, no period, try another pregnancy test. If that one is negative, wait until your next period is due, and if you miss that one, test again, or see your doctor for a more accurate blood test.
That's really all you can do. There's no magic way to diagnose pregnancy, especially online.
Good luck.
