My son was arrested. Which would violate his probation. The charges were dropped. Now they are going to still try to find him guilty in circuit court to violate his probation. These were companion cases one in superior court, which was dismissed. His probation violation was for the pi and resisting.. Id think since the charges were dismissed they couldn't violate him since he wasn't convicted..

It is not a issue of conviction but the act he did. If the PO feels he did resit a police officer but either did a plea deal or the DA did not want to go with charges, the PO can still do it.
Remember many things not criminal, being out too late, drinking and more will violate him.

In fact if these people were on probation or parole, just being with them. So yes it may not be fair but it is very legal.
