Is it legal to ask for a one time nonrefudable deposit for pets in apt. setting?


Depends upon where you are but it's a common practice - I do it, say it's a non-refundable cleaning/damage deposit for people who have pets.

(And I have big dogs so I'm familiar with both sides of this issue)
