I was originally charged with a felony in Georgia. Once court was complete my probation was switched to Florida were I reside. Now in fla I was charged with DUI. I originally signed my right to ga when I was released. Now I'm in fla jail. No one knows anything. I have an attorney in ga and fla no one knows anything? How long can I be held in fla jail? I have no bond

You will be held till the hearing ( how are you using internet in jail ?)

But it can be from 2 to up to 6 week at times to get a hearing. Your probation was transferred to FL, so you should have your hearing there. Since there is a chance of jail or prison time, you should hire an attorney to represent you at the hearing.( Fl attorney to deal with Fl probation)

Ok, I'm writing on someone's behalf. We have an attorney in fl. He says we have to just wait till ga makes a move. The problem is how do we know if ga has been notified? Who notifies them? How long until ga comes? ( ball park) I thought the Majestry said 30 days.
We also have an attorney in ga who said they went to da on Friday. At that time there was nothing in ga's system on him.
What steps need to be taken? Lawyers hired aren't helping, so it seems.

There's no steps.. Florida is holding him for Georgia. They'll come when they're ready. You can't speed it up. You're not going to save him any time anyway... The time he's in jail in Florida will COUNT towards the time they'll give him in Georgia for the DUI.

Thanks for your response. Confused cause Majestry said time here doesn't count for anything.
I was told there was 30 days for ga to come here.
Wow! This is insane
