I have a cutters edge(jonsered) 2 cycle chain saw, I replaced the ignition module and checked for spark, very weak spark and still no start.
I took the module off and sanded the mounting surface where the module bolts to and gets a ground, after reinstalling the module I got good spark but it still will not start, also I noticed when I pull the rope with the plug out the gas is being pushed out of the carb. And past the choke plate ( its coming out of the carb instead of going down into the carb.)
Please HELP I'm stuck and need the saw to work. Thanks again, Jim

Pull the muffler and look for scoring, it may be low compression. Also how is the flocking on the air filter? The saw may have been run with poor air filtration and that will cause unbelievable blow-by out the intake. You may be money ahead by taking it in for an estimate at either a husky dealer or jonsered.
