I am desperately searching for some info on a movie that I remember watching in the later 1990s-early 2000s on non-cable TV... one of those movies that were shown on Saturday afternoons on Fox, multiple times a year. I believe this movie is from the 80's or 90's, probably the 90's. All I can remember is that at the beginning, a guy goes to his doctor (who is female) and is surprised/embarrassed when she needs to check his "area"... regardless, they end up liking each other and getting married and have kids. Later in the movie, I think the wife's mom dies. I think I remember a scene where the guy, his wife, and kids are walking down the dark, lonely hospital hallway, hand-in-hand, after getting the news. I also remember a part where the guy is in the bathtub with his kids and if I remember correctly, he had dark curly hair. Kind of Tom Hanks-esque from the 80s. He was tall and skinny, too. If only I could figure out who that actor is I could find this movie pretty easily, but I have no idea. My memory is fragmented so I can't even guarantee the accuracy of my description.
