Hey Guys,
Can you help me out on this question?
After considerable experimentation, South Carolina's plantation owners finally found in silk a successful product that they could export.: True or False?

I know the answer is False but I seem to have no idea why.

Is it because it was aristocratic founders? Am I correct?

And for this question: The defeat of the Spanish Armada was important to North American colonization because it enabled England to Conquer Spain's new World Empire: True or False?
My friend and her family say its True
But I think its false & I check on Cengage.College.com and they also agree its false. I think its false because the English was unable to receive their gains.

Am I correct?
Please help!
Thanks for your help!

Not silk, but cotton.

England conquered very little of Spain's New World Empire. What it did conquer (parts of Florida, Louisiana/Mexico), it soon gave back.
