I have a 4 ton goodman heat pump that I'm wanting to use for straight air... it starts up energizing in heat mode... how do I make it energize in air mode?

i have a 4 ton goodman heat pump that im wanting to use for straight air.....it starts up energizing in heat mode...how do i make it energize in air mode?

You will have to be sure 24 volts low voltage is applied to the change over coil in the outside unit. By default (in case the valve that the coil is on breaks) it will always be in the heat mode( To keep you from freezing in your home during the winter) and has to be powered up to be in the A/C mode.

I tried jumping o to are on the board on heat pump and no change,not sure where to apply the 24v on change over coil?I'm a seasoned ac man but not used to heat pumps... learning though,and thanks for any help you can provide.
