I live in a house and I have had problems with a faulty ball cock valve in the water tank which I have replaced because it was not filling the tank at the correct rate. I have managed to get the water flowing through the cold taps but not the hot water taps. Is there a procedure for doing this. Thank You Kind Regards.

Please give us more drtails. Is this a storage tank supplied by a pump and then pumped into your house? Is there water going into the hot water heater from the tank but not to the faucets or no water at all entering the heater? Did everything work before you changed the float switch? What did you disturb? Explain your set up so we can help you farther. Regards, Tom

The water storage tank is supplied directly from the mains and not supplied by a pump. I first noticed there was something wrong when the hot water stopped flowing through the hot water taps so I checked the main water tank in the loft and found the tank nearly empty and only a trickle of water coming through the float switch which I replaced this is all I have disturbed. I cannot tell whether there is water going into the hot water heater and the boiler. But the central heating system is working correctly.
