My son was convicted of 3rd degree felon with domestic violence & strangulation, which he has never been arrested or in trouble in his life he was 20. And the girl dropped charges and restraining order they lived together again and he had a public defender who scared him and said he could get 15 years in prison if he didn't pleed guilty so he did and got 2 yr probation and of course they aerated him with my car cause I forgot over memorial day weekend to redo my plates and they asked to search car and he said cause nothing to hide and they said they found a roach a size of pinky fingernail in ashtray and arrested him which he was bonded out that day and went to probation officer and gave a piss test which he passed and said that it was the incentive crap not majuana and they got him for parafanela and that violated his probation and we have no proof it was tested or if it wasn't a set up, he was pulled over numerous times and harassed by police and never gaven a ticket, but then they sentenced him to 18 months in prison and he was going to,college and working and now the girl is laughing living in Michigan going to school and has her life, when my son took her away to Florida for a better life at 17 because her parents were doing serious drugs and enrolled in high school senior yr my son took her to school took her to her job every day and then with s hook got hooked up w bad friends doing pills and that's where it all started. So my son gets out Oct 3,2012 and now 23 and his life is ruined, he came down to join the navy and passed his yet but was on the waiting period because of so many people enrolled he was training for his physical and passed his test very high score and now that's gone as his life, my question is can I see the pictures of her that was taken as police said were finger marks on her throat and I seen her a hour later and my parents went there 5 minutes after police called my son called them and my parents didn't see 1 mark on her throat , but my son was bitten and marks over his body but she said he chocked her which was a lie , she just wanted to stay at a girlfriends for a weekend and do drugs and party , and in a text on my sons phone few days later when he was bonded out she texted him and said it was a set up and so his grandparents and I took this to police and they said sorry nothing we can do this isn't proof, I need help with answers I have paid 2 different lawyers a lot of money and nothing has happened and couldn't change the prosecuting attorney minds of the sentenceing and the charges to just domestic violence instead of a 3rd degree felon w strangulation which is severely harsh. Who can I talk to who has redid a case and have them look into this that knows what there doing and it's there specialty. And is it true you only have 3 years from first arrest to get this done? Also if taken back to court could he get a longer sentence if he has done his first prison time or what could happen? This is all screwed up and was scared as a 20 year old who had no clue about stuff like this but to trust the public defender who told him to plead guilty so he wouldn't do 15 years, granted your telling a 20 year kid who's mentally a 16 year old and has no clue about jail and never been in trouble until this so of course he trusted and got screwed. Please help me seriously this just isn't right and I need answers and don't know who to legally trust or talk with on this case.
