I have been with an insurance company for 4 years now we had a hail storm on July 3, 2012 and I was out of town. I arrived home and found home owners insurance on July 7th was cancelled due to missed payment. I restarted my insruance with same company on July14, 2012 Since I was insured and my subdivision was damaged by the hail storm and I am reinstated can I make a claim since I was covered durint eh date the storm hit.

Insurance claims are paid based on the date of the loss - if you were insured on that date, you're good to go!

(What area had a hail storm over the 4th? I must pay more attention to the news!)
