Hi. I have had the IUD (Copper T - so no hormones) for about 8 years. I had it removed about three months ago. The Dr tried to insert a new one but said that he struggled to remove the old one due to scar tissue. Since then we have decided to try have children so I didn't bother with the new IUD. I am just wondering if the IUD caused the scar tissue and if this will have an effect on my fertility? Some history - I have a 9 year old son, born via c sec. Im just turning 32. I have regular smears which are normal. I have a reqular 31 day cycle. My partner is 26 and has fathered a daughter 8 years ago. He has been on anti biotics for extended periods for the last year for prostititis so not sure if that could affect his sperm count. Thanks for any answer/info. Regards
