My Honda Accord 1990 is fitted with manual carburetor. Cold start speed is very low, making the engine vibrate but idle speed builds up gradually as engine warms. Idle speed stays OK throughout the day. Remedy, please,

HEY THERE you need to choke your engine when u startup in the cold morning , also try using 0w30 grade engine oil, semi synthetic is a better bet and also take notice of that you never accelerate hard when engine is cold, it does harm engine to a great extent

Try depressing the gas pedal all the way to the floor (one time), to set the automatic choke. After the engine starts and runs normally for a minute, "knock" the automatic choke off by tapping the gas pedal with your foot. I recommend that you use 5W-30 full synthetic engine oil (e.g. Mobil 1 or Pennzoil Platinum).
