I am a natural medium brunette. A few months ago I highlighted my hair gradually until it was almost all blonde and it looked actually pretty good. It started to grow out and I realized what I had gotten myself into, and went back to my usual dyeing of my hair a dark brown. It turned out way too dark, almost black. I have since tried dying it light brown, but obviously it won't work over the almost black dye. My hair seems to be very sensitive or something, as it usually is pretty damaged between hair cuts and anything to do with bleach just fries it so much that I have to get a pretty significant hair cut. I am hoping to avoid bleaching to tone the color down, and I'm not sure how a color remover such as "Color Fix" would affect my hair. I have heard of things such as using Dawn dish soap or laundry detergent, but wasn't sure if it would still work for my hair since it has been a few months. I am desperate for help, since my outgrowth is almost blonde and the rest is black. Any tips would be appreciated :) Thanks!

You could always try using lemon juice to lighten it! I know lemon juice is a great way to lighten light brown/dirty blonde hair but you could still try it! Take about a cup of lemon juice and mix It with some warm water, put it in a spray bottle and apply to hair until damp. Then you're going to want to expose your hair to sunlight for 30-60 minutes. After you can shower and wash your hair with a lot of conditioner. Don't do this everyday, maybe once a week. Also do not go swimming with the lemon juice still in your hair(it will turn green!)I recommend looking up more info online about lightening hair with lemon juice as well! Xx
