I have taken birth control since I was 15 years old (I'm 30 now). I stopped taking the pill in January, and had a steady period for four months. I have not had a period since April (today is July 23rd).
I've taken several home pregnancy tests, and had two blood tests, and they've all come back negative for pregnancy.
A few days ago, I started having a pain in my lower left abdomen. It's dull pain all the time, with a sharp stabbing pain every so often. It gets so bad sometimes, I can't stand up straight.
I went to the ER about the pain over the weekend, and the doctor didn't seem too concerned. I have an appointment with my OB/GYN next Monday.
I've done a lot of research, and I'm thinking I may have endometriosis or PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome).
Any ideas??
