I have a vinyl drain hose going down to a T with one side draining to a floor drain. The other side appears to just vent. Sometimes the "vent" side has water pour out of it. I put a drain hose on the top of it and when I took it off, more water poured out. I replaced the vinyl tubing/hose going from the T to the floor drain. Also checked to see if the T was free of debris. Any ideas on this Sunday night? Thanks in advance!

There is a drain pipe coming from the drip pan under the a coil. This pipe, usually 1/2 PVC, drains outside by gravity or into a condensate pump. The vent typically has a vent T on the top, just under the plenum level. I have never seen one at the floor level. Any blockage in the drain would allow water to run out of the vent. Make sure the drain is clear and that they condensate pump is working properly.

Thanks, I have the T not the pump. I replaced the tubing going from the T to the drain. I also took off the T and checked it to make sure it was clear. I would say the T is about 15" above the floor and is attached to a much larger PVC pipe, maybe 3-4" in diameter. So the one side of the T should go to the floor drain and the other side stays open? That seemed to be getting me the water, but I thought I remembered it being open. Still confused!

Where does the 3-4 " pipe go? Never saw a setup like this in Atlanta. What is the size of the pipe from the tray? Usually 1/2 PVC. On both my units, the pan drain comes out, turns 90, goes into a T with the short side up as the vent, drains down to an outside vent in 1/2 PVC. My T is 48" off thefloor. Another house I work at has the same setup going to a condensate pump and from the pump in 1/2 vinyl to the house drain. Can you post a picture?
