Back when I was younger I was a strong Christian. When I got into the 6th grade I started swearing and doing A LOT of bad things. I stopped reading my bible and me and my family stopped going to church but I never stopped praying. I realized that I lost my faith in both God and Jesus and it killed me. Every single night even today I cry out to the Lord without getting any answer. I don't feel him at all. I don't even think he's helping me. Me and my family started going back to church recently but I still can't believe Jesus died for my sin. Whenever I'm in church I feel so much faith but whenever I leave church the feelings of the Lord and my faith are COMPLETELY gone. It's like they were never there. I stopped swearing and I'm trying to stop sinning. It feels so useless. I can't even confess with my mouth God exist without hesitating. I don't want to die and go to Hell. I want to be ready for the rapture and I'm scared I won't be saved and have my faith in time...
Im reading my bible every night now but whenever I out the bible away all my faith is lost again and thoughts that go against God and what the bible says comes into my mind. Its like I need to have Christ on my mind 24/7

Thanks for the comment. Actually that was my first idea to go to my pastor but I'm nervous and I don't feel like I'm doing the right thing cause I want God to answer me directely. I told my mom recentaly and that's why we've been going to church again. Whenever I find complete faith I try to keep it and it suddenly goes away... It never stays and it kills me deeply...

Dear friend, I understand what you are going through.
God always answers. But we need to open our ears wide every time He speaks. He speaks in the following ways as shown in the Bible:
1. He speaks through His words, the Bible - (Ps. 119:105, 2Tim 3:16)
2. He speaks through His people - (Acts 11:28, Acts 19:30)
3. He speaks through our consciences/heart/dreams/visions - (Acts 16: 9)
4. He speaks through circumstances - (Acts 28: 1-11)
5. He speaks directly - (Acts 8:29, Acts 9: 4-5, Acts 16: 7)
Now, He chooses the mediums to communicate with you. Its His wish. You just pray and keep reading, in fact keep studying His word alone and also with believers. Take also the help from a pastor who knows God's word correctly. Keep listening to God's word as the Bible says, ''faith comes by hearing.''
God bless you...

Thanks for the unnecessary reddie. However, I stand by my statement that God will not answer someone "directly." He does not show is face and answer your questions "directly." He works in mysterious ways when answering questions.
How do I know this? Personal experience.

Dear friend! God is not limited to anybody's personal experience. I have biblical proof that God answers and speaks directly even today, in the New Testament era.

We are not in the NT era; we are in the End Times, the Last Days. And no, God does not speak directly to someone today as he spoke to Moses and others in the OT.

The Holy Ghost speaks directly with the believers. And He is God. I am talking about end times.

I can hear you - apparently I'm alone in that.
There is such a difference between saying "this is what I believe" and "this is how it is." Then add totally ignoring the AMHD rules and I have to wonder if it's success at any cost - ?
I both like and respect FrChuck. I've seen him post his opinions, strong opinions, strong beliefs - but I've never known him to preach.

The Holy Spirit does not speak directly with anyone. He is that still, small voice we hear in our hearts.
If you are speaking of end times, then say that. The NT era is finished.

Ok we are on the Christianity board. God does talk to us, though two types of Revelation. One is natural and the other special to show us his glory and to show us he exists.
In natural he has the universe, which is in perfect balance, we have man, who in the mechanics is beyond any other animal in his abilities. We have all of nature that has no other solid proof that it could be any other way.
We have speical revelation that comes to use by the Word of God. And by the Holy Spirit, The Holy Spirit inspired the writters of the NT ( did not talk to them and if he was going to, he would have talk to them for sure) but the Spirit gave them the power, the courage and the mind to write what they did.) to us that Spirit gives us the understanding of Scripture to know how it adapt it to our lives. That same spirit is also that small voice, we normally call our conscience that is how God wrote the law into everyone's heart, that is why even those who never heard of Christ, still has his law in their heart.
The bible does tell us that we will get visions and we will have dreams, It does not say that we hear their actual voice.
I could post my entire sermon, just actually wrote one last week on this theme>

I can't answer your question as an 'Expert' but I can offer you this: I have all the same questions as you & feel the same kind of desperation for answers as you describe but have never thought to voice it as I could never imagine how I could possibly put it in the form of a question as you have, nor could I think of an appropriate forum for finding a place to begin. There may be something of an answer though, in the fact that Iam a new member here, within the last 48 hrs or so, and the question that prompted me to register couldn't be farther from the topic of your question, yet while browsing the site, and with only the 1st 5 words of your question visible as a subject, my hand chose your question (I honestly have no idea why) which in doing so made the insight that was directed at you and your confusion available to me as well. With it came the realization that perhaps God does work in mysterious ways...

Frizzybear:
The thing is.. we can't go by our feelings. They are fickle. This is why you have faith when you are in church and then you don't when you are out. Our feelings change day to day. When my faith "feels" low, I get in the Bible and read about Jesus. I listen to messages about Jesus. Take for instance the woman at the well, she had five husbands and was living with some guy when she ran into Jesus! Her problem was She was self occupied. She wouldn't go to the well when most woman did because she didn't want to be shunned or talked about. After she had an encounter with the Lord Jesus.. Well I just have to laugh. Read what she does... she runs into town, no longer concerned about her feelings, her sin, or about what other people think of her. NO! She is proclaiming she talked to HIM for everyone to come and listen to HIM. He changed her life and her self worth and certainly her faith.
It is amazing what Jesus can do for feelings of low faith. If you will simply turn your thoughts to him. Read about him, think on him. Listen to messages about him. I personally wouldn't say he is mysterious... I would say He is altogether LOVELY, Amazing, wonderful. He is called our counselor in the Bible. Now how can he councel us if he doesn't talk directly to us? He does but not with an audible voice... no it is through his Word. Read the Bible.

I am going through the same thing. I don't know what it is. With me, I have had a pretty traumatic My problem comes from within. I know God loves all. Maybe I don't love him enough.
I ask you lord to take pity on me, a sinner, please help me open my heart so I can be a true believer.

Reach out to others, especially to "the least of these." When you lose yourself in love and in helping others, you will find yourself and see God in their faces.

That is a very good question and many are asking that and get no answer. What I give may not be what one wants to here but in strictly from Gods Word. There is a scripture that I will paraphrase, " there is a way that seems right to man, but the end thereof is death". What does that mean?
Many are being lead astray by Church's in which the truth is not given. In individuals minds there is something that is not right. The go to church and go through the motions but nothing is really there.
Are they really getting the truth Of God? Most who go to Church do not check for themselves to see if what is said is true. Lets take for instance, is Heaven of the Kingdom of God up in Heaven or is that where it will be? God said His Kingdom will be on this Earth. But wait, that is not being taught.
There is much more that is not taught correctly. Think about it. Check it out for yourself, do not take my word or anyone else word.

When most are asked if they are a Christian they will probably answer, yes I am. But will this answer be the true answer or is there more to it than just say “yes I am”? There are over thousands of different denominations in the World and in our Nation and everyone of them has their own belief on how one can become a Christian.
Some say all one has to do is to confess with their own mouth that Jesus Christ is Gods Son and that He died for them and that is all there is to it and they become a Christian. Some say that you have to do more in becoming a Christian. The truth is that there are many beliefs on how one may become a true Christian, but are they right and what does it really take for one to become a Christian?
Every Sunday there are millions who attend Church services some where in our Nation and when it is over they feel good about themselves because they did attend Church as they were suppose to do. They were uplifted by what they heard by their ministers and shake their head in agreement. Love of fellow man would have been taught because this is what Jesus said to do. Talking about Heaven and Hell would be one of the main themes and how they would want to make it to one and not want to go to the other. This is all good, but is there more to becoming a Christian than what one may believe?
The truth is there is only one way to become a Christian or that is to become a potential Son and or Daughter of God and many believe they are right. But what does God have to say about his? In Matthew Ch. 3 John was saying “repent”, but what was he talking about? To repent means to change from one way to another, but what change was he talking about?
It goes on to say when they confessed their sins they were baptized. But what is Sin?
1Jo 3:4 Whosoever committees' sin transgresses also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
So sin is breaking Gods Laws. God has set certain Laws, certain ways for His chosen to follow Him and in doing so they acknowledge that they are of Him because they follow Him and what He has to say.
Pro 14:12 There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death
There is a way that seems right for many in obeying God, but in the end it is all wrong and will lead to the final death penalty. But which way is right, according to this and many statements there must be a “ right way” for Gods people to worship Him. God is one God, not many and He has one Church, one Faith and one group of people who follow Him. But why are there so many different ways to follow God?
It is because individuals have been taught the wrong way and they eat it up with open arms and when the truth has been presented they want listen because they are seared with the iron of false belief. Sure they believe on God and Jesus Christ but not what they say.
Most confessing Christians do not study their Bible to see if what is said is true, they just take it at face value. This is very dangerous because of what the consequences may be in the end. Why is it that most who are Christians do not check to see why it is that they observe Sunday as the day set aside by God or even if it was set aside by God?
Did God say, OK you Jews, here is the 7th day Sabbath and for you only. Is that what God said. Or did He say the Sabbath, the seventh day was made for man.
Mar 2:27 Then he said to them, "The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.
Mar 2:28 So the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath."
What day was He talking about, was it Sunday or was it Saturday? Why don' individuals get their head out of the sand and begin reading and studying their Bible. It is because they want someone else to do it for them and they will take it as fact on what they say. Sunday is a PAGAN day of worship and can be proven if one would just do a little search on finding out the truth. It may mean their Salvation.
I challenge anyone to go to any Encyclopedia and look up “Sunday worship” and one will see the truth on how it was started. One will see that Constantine in 321 AD instituted Sunday worship so Christians would have their own day of worship. This is a slap in the face to our God and His Son, Jesus Christ.
Did the Christian organization get Sunday worship because they believed Jesus to be resurrected on Sunday? The truth is, He was not resurrected on Sunday as has been taught, He was raised on His Sabbath, Saturday.
Jesus said that a sign would be give to prove Him being the Christ. What was that sign? He said that as Jonah were 3 days and 3 nights in the belly of a great fish, that He would spend the same amount of time in the grave, the tomb. He specifically said 3 days and 3 nights, not a partial time of 3 days and 3 nights. Either God is a liar or someone is wrong. There is no way you can get 3- 24 hour days from Friday afternoon until Sunday morning.
Satan is a great counterfeiter and he has sure done his work on society and the Christian origination.
Jhn 8:47 Whoever belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God."
Only those who are Gods chosen will understand Gods truth and no woe else because of blindness and hard of hearing. It is now time to hear because we as a Nation are going into captivity because of breaking Gods. He is angry with us and as His children and a Nation He is ready to unleash His punishments at this very moment in time.
What I or anyone else may say about this will not be accepted by hardly anyone, but if it is and they do repent they will begin to understand Gods truth and they will come out from under the umbrella of falsehood.
I do care and wish that we could just open the top of ones head and just pour in Gods truth but it want happen. It will take God to open the mind to His understanding. That is done by information given and one taking that information and begins to seek out Gods truth and His ways will be given to them. If one will not heed the warnings which God has given in scripture they will fine themselves and their families in the middle of the “Great Tribulation” which is now in the preparation stages.
No rapture will be provided, only those who are of God will be protected here on this EARTH. Jesus Christ will not return until after the Tribulation is over and will not Wisk individuals away.
