I was diagnosed with having a Pulmonary Embolism on June 26. Was in hospital 3 days. Was given Lovenox shots and Coumadin. I am still taking Coumadin and getting blood checked often. My question is, I am still having chest pains/pressure quite often. Will I continue having this until the body completely "breaks down" that blood clot? If so, about how long does that take? I was given hyrdocodone for pain but I am out of them. What is safe to take for pain while on Coumadin?
