Hi,
When we take a cold shower in winter, we gasp for breath. Can anybody tell me why this happens? Thank you.

I believe it's because of the muscles spasming at the sudden change in temperature that cause you to breathe in sharply.

Thank you. What is the relation between muscle spasms and sharp breathing?
