I'm currently out of the country and when I chked my online bank account (BOA), it is showing me a huge charge as 'TEXAS GARNISHMENT LEVY FDES'. The bank is saying they have mailed details to my home address. But since I'm not returning to USA for few months, is it possilbe for me to get the details of this Levy.
Are there any sites/numbers which can tell me what is my fault and why I'm charged for this big amount $2,52000.
Thanks a ton.

Is anyone picking up your mail for you ? If so, can't you contact them to open up that piece of mail. If I as being charged this amount (what exactly is it anyway), I would be doing everything I can that could be done from a distance.

Are you truly totally unaware of this? If you have a judgement against you for such a large amount I would be surprised you were not previously aware of it.

Ok, for there to be a judgement, you would have had to owe someone that large amount of money. They would have tried to collect, and collect and collect. Then finally they would have taken you to court ( or at least notified you of court) About the IRS perhaps you owed them money. Have you had any homes or cars repo'ed, Surely you know who you owe the money to and have not paid??
If you are out of the country, you needed to have your mail forwarded or have someone picking it up for you to notify you of all sorts of things.
What aobut the bills for other items, electric if you have a home somewhere, perhaps your life insurance or your car insurance and things like that.
You can contact the bank, they will give you info on the garnishment ( or at least who it is from) you then will have to contact them for more info.
