I am looking to understand what causes the problem I'm having as well as some sort of solution for relief. I get tender spots in various different areas of my vagina, only the week before my period. I don't get them every month, but I'd say on average every other month. It usually accompanies the start of a yeast infection, that also goes away with the onset of my period. It only hurts if I touch it or pee. The actual act of urinating doesn't hurt or burn, it's only when I pee and it touches those spots. There is most always one on the hood of my . The closest it goes to my labia major is right on the crack of my vulva. When you look at the 'sores', it's just a little red area, raw looking, not an actual open sore. This has been happening for just about 10 years and I'm 32 now. For a long time I had myself convinced it had something to do with my birth control pill, but I've been off the pill for about a year and still having this problem. I have had my OBGYN look at it and she's tested me for the whole gamete of STD's, herpies included, the results were negative. She gave me a cream to apply to the sore areas to help make it a little more comfortable, but it really doesn't seem to help. A couple of months ago I had it the worst ever, it stung so bad when urinating that it took my breath away. I would really really like to find the cause and solution to this. I don't want to have a repeat of that really bad one.
