I recently replaced a fan motor on my business exterior a/c unit. I replaced the 3/4 hp motor with an AOSmith 3/4hp motor. The new motor had it's own capacitor which I also installed. For some reason, the motor is getting hot and kicking off, leaving only 1 fan motor still running on unit. I've cleaned the coils on the unit, but still getting hot and shutting off.

Correct RPM ?

Running in proper rotation?

Not an AC person, but what does one of the fans not working mean? I thought most had 1 fan motor in compressor unit?
