Could someone tell me then answers to these or help me with elimination using multiplication?
1. 2x+3y=6
x+2y=5
2. 2m+3n=4
-m+2n=5
3. 3a-b=2
a+2b=3
1. 2x+3y=6
First you have to decide if you are solving for x or are you solving for y?

2x+3y=6( equ. no. 1)
x+2y=5(muliply this equationbyx2)
it will be(2x+4y)=10(equ.no.2)
the subtact equ. no. 1 with no. 2 as this
2x+3y=6
-
2x+4y=10
it will be -1y=-4 then y =4 then subsitute with any equ. Of the above and get the x by knowing y=4 it will be x=-6 apply this on the other equations

It says in my book to solve each system, whatever that means? I'm clueless.. I missed 2 days of school, come back, and don't know how to do it.

It means find X and Y so that if u plug them into both equations it'll work

You should create your own thread Samantha. Also, you should be looking at the things that the previous posters already stated. I'm sure they contain the necessary information to solve your problem.
