My 1993 honda accord 10th anniversary edition has starting issues. I replaced the main relay and it seemed to fix the problem for about six weeks or so. Then the same problem returned. Luckily the parts store replaced the relay with a new one. Now my car is starting fine. Is there anything that can cause the main relay to go out? Also I have replaced the fuel pump and the ignition switch needlessly I wonder. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Heat causes the cold solder joints on the printed circuit board to expand and the relay to fail. Some people have been successful in beefing up the amount of solder on PCB joints.
