I have a 3 week old zu mix. He is very healthy. It has been dewormed a few days ago, and I just found it panting (like a thristy dog) and crying. I'm paranoid because I lost a puppy a few days ago. It just died, and it looked really healthy (I have smaller ones). I gave it water and he drank it like he was thristy. Wasn't sure it I could give it water so I gave him a few cc's of milk formula that I'm using to rear my smallest pup. I brought the room temp down 1st before giving the liquids since I thought it might be feeling, when it didn't stop and he was panting excessively that was when I gave the liquids. I also tried to nurse her through the mother while the other puppies were nursing but he wouldn't. So after the liquids, it stopped whining and panting and fell asleep. I was just wondering if I should worry. The thought of losing another pup keeps me up at night.

When in doubt go to the vet, especially with a pup this young.

I have to ask, where is the mother of these pups?

The mom of the pups is with me. The pup is well and okay. And is nursing from the mother when I woke up this morning. I think I was just paranoid last night. Thank you! :)
