Im a 23 year old mother who has been raising my now 19month old since day 1 on my own, her birth father and I were married but he abused me so I won't let him see her. Im about at my ends rope, I don't think Im a good mother at all, I have provided her with a home to live in, I provided her with food, and diapers. But I recently lost my job, and I have an interview on Wednesday. But I've been so stressed out with not working, be afraid to provide for her. I have an anxiety disorder and Im on meds and go to a councler. But I think I should put her up for adoption, should I?

Adoption is a personal choice, and not something that you can be advised about online. It is is something that you wish to pursue, know that you will need her father's consent. Should you try to do it without his permission, he could overturn the adoption and get custody of the child. It is decision you really need to consider with the input of family or a counselor.

It's very hard to raise a child on your own and I'm admiring you for trying and doing everything you can for your daughter. Do you have support from family (your parents etc) or friends? You should discuss your options with your family and your counselor
