Hi, my niece is lives her mother who can most certainly be proved unfit. Me an my husband want custody of her. My brother (her father) has a 10 month old boy to that lives with him. They live in a single wide 2awake bedroom trailer that is in bad contion. Financially he is unable to support two young babies. He tries his best but it is hard enough on him with one child. My neices mother does not treat her nicely. An she also has a little boy that's a month in a half old. Me an my husband have been married for almot 3 years this coming August. I am a manager at my job an he is a lead at his our monthly income makes financially stable to support my niece. We live in a 3 bedroom double wide that is in great condition. Anyway what do you think our chances are of getting custody. Signed wanting to know

If you think you can prove her unfit OR if she will agree to your guardianship, then you stand a decent chance.

But proving unfitness is not easy. You would need to contact family services and file a complaint and let them know you are willing to foster the child. The problem there is they may take away all the children.
