My freezer stopped freezing last night. I removed the panel in the freezer and the coils are not getting cold. The fan is working.

Are the coils under the unit clean and the condenser fan working there? The compressor may be off on thermal overload if so, or if dirty you could have burned up the compressor. This is a common problem now because unlike refrigerators of the past the new ones must have the coils cleaned twice a year at least. You did not say if it is a side by side, top freezer, or bottom freezer. Here are some manuals: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/8010163/Frigidaire%20Refrigerators.zip
If you clean it and let it cool down it may work if that's the problem, or you could have a t-stat that is open. Check the condenser fan with an ohm meter and the thermostat to see if they are good. You cannot play a guessing game you will have to use a meter to check it out. If you have one of those new electronic units they are hard to diagnose. If it's a regular unit it will be easy. Make sure to replace back after washing out coils before starting back up. If it overheated you can let it cool then plug it in to see if condenser fan works for a second or two. Here's a booklet on meters: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/8010163/Whirlpool%204322537A%20How%20to%20use%20Test%20Equ ipment%20Service%20Manual.pdf One other thing you want to check is the defrost timer: Rotate knob to make sure it's not stuck in defrost mode. If it is replace it.
