About a year ago I was "diagnosed" with RA. I currently take four different perscriptions daily. I am 22 years old. I can't say that I am sure if my doctor has diagnosed me correctly or not. I still suffer with severe joint and back pain, severe sleepiness, and my skin even hurts sometimes. Im worried I am taking all of the wrong medicines, and I am worried my rhumatoligist might be wrong about what's going on with my body. Could I have fibromialgia that is possibly acting as authritus? And how do I ask my doctor to refer me to another specialist? I am so tired of suffering.

Just outright ask him - for a second opinion or if you have fibromyalgia.

RA is diagnosed by blood work. I would be surprised if the Doctor is wrong.

If you don't trust your Physician you need to find another Physician you do trust.
