I inherited an OLD Lennox AC HS9-461-1P that was unhooked/unwired at the heaters blower motor. Lennox only has installation/maintenance manuals starting at the HS10 series and has different looking capacitator parts. When I hook it up at the blower motor, per HS10 wiring, the AC runs when the system is shutoff at the thermostat. I cleaned the entire system including all coils and contact points and looks pretty clean – no bugs/corrosion. The system does cool when running but frosts up (needs a recharge) and the heater works fine. What am I missing besides the correct wiring diagram or is there a short or open in the system? A new system is not an option.
